An Old Poker Memory.... They Just Never Quite Go Away.

So here I was at Foxwoods in a $2-$5 game, lookin to make $1500-$2000 to make me happy for the day. At the time of the following hand i was up $560 and on pace for my goal before the boys arrive for homies bachelor party. Normally I don't tell bad beat stories but this one was particullarlly tough to swallow.
I was in the 10 seat, on the button. Pre-flop the 3 seat makes it $40 . The 4,5,and 6 seat call instantlly. 7 folds. 8 and 9 both call. Now 8 and 9 are both good players and i am assumeing are just calling for the pot odds hopeing to flop big. I figured the 3 seat to have pocket queens, and 4,5,6 for big ace or picture cards, maybe someone had jacks, either way they were loose, passive players, who loved to see flops with any paint. Anyway, I look down at 5-6 of spades and smile cuz its the perfect hand for this kind of action, I half expected to flop a full house with my VERY LIVE CARDS. I call the 40 and both blinds folded. 7 players $287 in the pot pre flop. The flop comes 2-3-4 rainbow. PERFECT! I flop the nut straight and no flush draws are out there. I smile (inside of course) and pray for some action. Seat 3 bets $100, seat 4 calls, seat 5 folds, seat 6 raises to $200, (this excites me very much), seat 8 folds, seat 9 re-raises $570 for a total of $770 all in. Now I couldnt be happier. This was the perfect senerio you hope for when you play no-limit hold-em. I push all my chips in and the guy next to me says "fuck!" and i just smiled. The knucklehead in seat 3 folds after his annoying speech about the hand we all knew he had. Seat 4 folds and seat 6 takes forever and he folds even though I tried my best to get him in since i was sure he only had an overpair at best. He was a really bad player. I turned up the nuts and I was hopeing seat 9 turned up ace 5 but I sensed he had a set and still had outs. He showed pocket 3's for the set. The turn card comes a 9. and now he has 10 outs and about a 20% chance of hitting one. As a 4-1 favorite I was hopeing for a king or something. Dealer, do anything but pair that board my insides screamed. But of course the river is the 4 of clubs and assbag drags a $2,227 pot, leaving me heartbroken and down $210 instead of overjoyed and up $2,017. I took it like a pro and kept playin solid poker after that but did not have enough time to recoup and took a small loss on the session. The hand couldnt have started much better and certainlly could not have gone worse. It sucks to play a hand so well and get the wrong results. Seat 9 was a good enough player to lay down trip 3's but he made a mistake and I was happy he did, but the results just seem so unfair! This is just another typical day of heartbreak in my world. I just felt the need to share and get this one outa my head

2. YOUR OBSESSION WITH THE LIVES OF THESE CELEBS, WHAT YOU SHOULD BE WEARING, HOW SKINNY YOU SHOULD BE, HOW YOU TREAT AND JUDGE PEOPLE WHO DONT FIT THE CRITERIA. GET A LIFE AND MIND OF YOUR OWN.
3. THE WAY EACH GENERATION GETS WORSE AND WORSE. I UNDERSTAND THE PROCESS OF GROWING UP. BUT AT 25 WHY HAVE YOU NOT LEARNED TO RESPECT NOT JUST WOMEN BUT HUMAN BEINGS IN GENERAL.
